Award Description
This award trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by an SPA holder will be roped climbing and bouldering. The SPA does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
About
SPA Training Course This course runs over two long days and two evenings and is based around the North East and North Yorkshire, and will include at least two visits to outdoor crags and an indoor visit to a climbing wall on one of the evenings. The price given is an all inclusive price and includes: Wall entry (s), and all administration. There are no other hidden costs.
