Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
Split Course
5 Day Mountain Leader Assessment Course run over 2 consecutive weekends.
Weekend 1 will be 2 days based in North Wales (4th and 5th of May)
Weekend 2 will be 3 days starting on the Friday based in the Brecon Beacons (17th 18th and 19th of May)
Our highly experienced team of staff will provide you with lots of oppourtunities to demonstrate your competence in a fun friendly and relaxed enviroment. All our courses are staffed by a team of passionate professionals who regularly work in the Mountain environment and understand the types of groups (such as DofE) that operate in this environment.
