WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Mountain Training Association have teamed up with the Met Office to provide this specialist weather workshop specifically to support the syllabi of Mountain Training's qualifications as well as enhancing the knowledge of qualified leaders and instructors in their ability to apply information gained from available forecast information, practically whilst planning and dynamically whilst out in the hills and mountains.
The workshop will include:

The workshop is being run by professional Met Office trainers.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED:
This is a classroom-based workshop. Please bring a notepad and pen.
The workshop will cover quite a bit of weather theory as well as the practical application of that theory and as there is much to cover on the day, the pre-course reading below will ensure you can hit the ground running:

CATERING/FOOD:
Tea and coffee is inclusive in the price along with lunch. If you have any dietary requirements please update the 'Special Requirements' box under 'Personal Details' tab of your online account. Alternatively, contact the office.
ARRIVAL TIME:
Please arrive for a 9:30am start.
Please allow some time for the trainers to set up for the workshop before the official start time.
CANCELLATION PROCEDURE:
This workshop needs a minimum of 4 bookings to run. Attendees will be notified of cancellations or changes to the workshop 2 weeks before the date of the workshop. Attendees will receive a full refund or will have the option to transfer their booking to another available date.
If you are unable to attend the workshop, if cancellations are received up to 6 weeks before the workshop you will receive a full refund; less than 6 weeks but more than 4 weeks before the course: 50% refund; less than 4 weeks before the course date: no refund will be issued.
