The First Aid at Work (FAW) course is the most comprehensive first aid training for the workplace. It covers various CPR and first aid skills and equips first aiders with the knowledge to apply first aid to specific injuries and illnesses.
The First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification is Ofqual, CCEA and Qualification Wales accredited and valid for three years, making it suitable for all industries and enabling you to meet HSE requirements.
RLSS UK’s First Aid at Work training is CIMSPA endorsed, which means it has been quality-assured by CIMSPA. RLSS UK is an active member of the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) whose remit is to collaborate on best practice and maintain quality to ensure the integrity and currency of regulated qualifications.
Prerequisites:
Candidates must be a minimum of 16-years-old at the time of taking the assessment.
No prior first aid knowledge is required.

Assessment:
The RLSS UK First Aid at Work qualification is trainer assessed throughout the course. The First Aid at Work course assessment determines a learner’s ability to act safely, promptly, and effectively when an emergency occurs in the workplace and to deal with a casualty. All assessment criteria must be achieved to pass a First Aid at Work course.
Renewal:
To renew a First Aid at Work qualification, candidates must re-qualify by being assessed against all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the qualification. The delivery time can be adjusted based on current HSE guidance for requalification (2 days). It is considered appropriate to reduce the time by 6 hours (now 12 hours) for requalification.
