NATIONAL POOL MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION (NPMQ)

The National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ) is a four-day management qualification aimed at any level of management in the leisure industry. It provides candidates with a thorough understanding of their and their employer’s legal responsibilities with regards to managing health and safety in a swimming pool environment.

Prerequisites:

The NPMQ is a four-day management qualification aimed at any level of management in the leisure industry.

The course has been designed for staff who have a legal responsibilities with regards to managing health and safety in a swimming pool environment. On completion, all candidates will have a full and thorough understanding of their and their employer’s legal responsibilities with regards to managing health and safety in a swimming pool environment.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18-years-old at the time of taking the assessment.

Course Content:

The course content includes;

  • Ensures the safe operation of swimming pools
  • Gives employees and employers the understanding of their legal responsibilities with regards to risk assessment
  • Improves ability to implement and review of Pool Safety Operating Procedures
  • Gives employees and employers an understanding of their legal responsibilities with regards to the law in the leisure industry.

Assessment:

To qualify candidates must pass a written assessment at the end of the course. 

Renewal:

Upon qualifying, the NPMQ certificate doesn't expire.
