Plan was to do Y Foel Goch ridge then drop down by Tryfan Bach, visibility and ground conditions deteriorated as we climbed, just below Gallt yr Ogof we made the decision to call it a day and turn round as visibility was zero and the probability of accumulated snow banks on the decent making it potentially very dangerous.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
