I also lead expeditions abroad, including long trips to Africa; trekking in Morocco; Mountain Hut to Hut trips in the Dolomites.
I am also an experience expedition photographer, having photos published in a variety of outdoor magazines.
I recently left full-time employment to get out into the mountains more. Living on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, a much overlooked wild area of England, I can get out most days, walking or out on the Bike.
I am qualified and able to take people and groups into the UK Mountains and am keen to hear from you if you wish to have a led walk or expedition, perhaps one of my routes on the blog. I am close to the Dark Peak in the Peak District and have a variety of interesting and off the beaten track routes. I also spent every weekend of my youth in the Lake District and know this are very well, again with a few special routes.

I am Tony Greenwood, a Mountain and Expedition leader and instructor.
I lead and train expeditions, supervising and assessing Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and leading expeditions abroad. I am a tutor for the Hill and Mountain Skills scheme recently set up up by Mountain Training, and deliver Navigation courses to youths and adults.
Having left full-time employment to get out into the Mountains more, I now get out most days onto the West Pennine Moors, a much overlooked wild area of Lancashire, but do continue to explore the Peak District and am ticking off the Lake District Peaks well on the way to completing the "Wainwrights".
