Hello everyone, Hayley here thanks for looking me up.
I'm a mountain leader currently holding the summer and winter certificates. I am very interested in gaining the International mountain leader as I spend a lot of time in the French and Swiss alps personally as well as guiding treks in Nepal.
I'm incredibly passionate about being outdoors, walking and scrambling the fells all over the country. Living in the Lake District currently gives me great access to the hills and also makes it fairly quick to get to Scotland, for which I spend a lot of my free time playing up there. I do work in Scotland quite a bit leading the West Highland Way and running my Winter skills courses.
Being able to pass on my enthusiasm and love for the outdoors to those who want to learn, and perhaps aren't confident enough to go alone is a dream job. . Its not really working to me.
I've travelled well including the Alps, Tatra mountains, Canada, Norway, Kyrgyzstan and the Himalayas
You may have come across me dangling around on the Honister via ferrata extreme, this is where I got my break into the outdoor working life, but nowadays I work in all areas of the outdoors I can, regularly delivering navigation skills courses, which is a real passion of mine, I love maps. I lead mountain days, walking and scrambling routes, ghyll scramble, wild swim, wild camping, long distance treks and remote supervision for Duke of Edinburgh groups.
Each year I try to run a couple of trips abroad, usually in Nepal to Everest Base Camp.
Winter is my favourite time of year, I am particularly passionate about winter mountaineering.
As a chef in my previous life, my rucksack is often full of homemade goodies! Any of my multi day courses and trips in the UK are fully catered by myself. . So you get led and fed!
