I have seen Jo lead a large number of different groups in various areas of the UK over a number of years and fully endorse her. She is an excellent leader, having both the technical skills required and strong group management skills, and a consistent record of making sound judgements in difficult conditions and dealing with the unexpected. She has the experience to plan good days tailored to each group and is exeptional at making sure novices are informed, describing things in a relatable way and appropriately involving groups in decision making processes. A continual sense of good humor, empathy and ethusiasm make Jo my first choice for a walking buddy or group leader and I look forward to working with her as an ML in the future.

I have known Joanna for over 15 years and in that time have spent time in the outdoors with her from climbing on Peak grit, to mountaineering in the Lake District and Scotland. Joanna brings a thoughtful and considered approach to her climbing, walking and mountaineering. She is has a keen awareness of risk and is ablke to maintain a cool head when needed. On a personal level she is well used to interacting with a variety of people of all ages and is sensitive to the differing needs of individuals. I would have nio hesitation in recommending her to lead groups in the outdoors.
