I first registered on the Mountain Training scheme in 1995.
Since then I have completed my MIA and my WML whilst being a full time Royal Marine Commando.
In that time I have had many climbing and mountaineering trips around the world. The most memorable one was to climb the North Ridge of Mt Everest, when on my summit attempt I came across an injured climber, over the next seven and a half hours I carried the man from almost 8000mtrs down to ABC at 6300mtrs. For this act of bravery I was awarded the Royal Humane Societies Gold Stanhope medal.
Now retired from the Royal Marines I work as a freelance instructor through out the UK.
