Growing up enjoying the Peak District on my doorstep, I was introduced properly to the wonderful world of climbing at 15. I quickly decided this was the path I wanted to take and gripped hold of it with both hands! I soon began winter climbing in Scotland and travelling with my passion: first around the UK, before the Alps and the Americas, making 1st ascents in Patagonia and Peru. Living in Chamonix I discovered just how much I loved skiing too and have now ski mountaineered extensively throughout the Alps and Canada. I spent winters guiding throughout the Highlands of Scotland, particularly exploring the incredible NW.
I'm now based in the French Alps, right between Chamonix, the Aravis and the Grande Massif.
