Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
This course will be run from Arete Outdoor Centre , based near Llanberis. A friendly centre, that will provide a relaxed and fun learning environment. We are experienced training providers who also lead and manage groups up in the mountains on a weekly basis. We can provide an individualised course so you can get the most from your Mountain Leader Training. We have easy access to the mountains of Snowdonia and on Anglesey, with the flexibility to choose the best venue for the weather. Including in the cost is use of a full range of kit from our stores, transport from Arete Outdoor Centre, access to drying rooms and a wealth of extra information. The residential option is for self catering, catered accommodation may also be possible. You can add on self catered accommodation at £15 per person per night or £30 per night fully catered. - please enquire to info@aretecentre.co.uk
