Weather -Overcast with good visibility moderate wind, turned to showers in the afternoon
Learning Points/Skills Practices - Planned walk security on steep ground, route finding as there were no paths to follow, first aid through group member injury leading to calling mountain rescue for evacuation due to suspected broken ankle.

Attention is paid to safety - Supported group members over ridge to Sgurr an Tuill Bhain, on way down party member slipped and rolled ankle badly - suspected broken ankle administered first aid, called mountain rescue and then set up emergency shelter for the group as we waited rescue.

Area : Loch Maree to Loch Broom and The Fannaichs

This area contains four main sub-regions: An Teallach, The Fannaichs, Kinlochewe & Letterewe. The highest Munro is Sgurr Mor, part of The Fannaichs range, at a height of 1110m. The impressive Slioch (981m), although not the tallest, is described by the SMC Munros Guide as being ‘one of the great sights of the Northern Highlands’ and well worth a visit. This area sits to the north of the A832 and is almost completely devoid of human habitation.
