Since 2006 I have been the director of Snowdonia Adventures a small family business that was established in 1999.
Previous to this I worked as a full time freelance outdoor instructor through out the UK.
I also worked in the Nepali Himalaya as a treking guide and volunteer outreach medic worker for MSF in Manang, Nepal, before settling in North Wales.
I have summer and winter mountain leader qualifications as well as a single pitch climbing supervisor award, Power Boat Level 2 Coastal certificate, Cave mine leader training and WCU 3 Star Kayak award and WCU 3 Star Sea Kayak award. Im also a Rescue 3 SRT qualifed- swift water rescue technician.
Im a National Navigation Awards Scheme, NNAS, Tutor Course Director and Gold Level course provider for training and assessment.
From 2004 to 2011 I was a team member of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation with a specialty in technical rope rescue, as well as being part of the casualty care working group and part of the training team delivering summer and winter mountaineering and specialist rescue skills training to other team members as and when needed.
Im also a qualified specialist search dog instructor and handler for human remains/cadaver detection with operational experience in the UK.
From September 2015 to January 2017 I was the Training Officer for Mon-SAR, the first Lowland Rescue Association team in Wales, Im a qualifed Search Technician and TAQA/IQA.
