Sam is highly qualified, fully insured and first aid trained. Owner/lead instructor at Lake District Mountaineering - specialising in instruction and guiding for climbing, mountaineering, navigation and hill walking in both summer and winter conditions.
Sam is involved with the development, training and assessment of other instructors as a Mountain Leader course director. He also delivers skills courses on behalf of Mountain Training, the awarding body and organisation for climbing & mountaineering in the UK.
Both professionally and personally, Sam has been involved in hill walking, rock climbing and mountaineering for over 10 years. He has an enthusiasm for the natural environment and a passion for outdoor learning, holding a BA Hon's degree in Outdoor Leadership.
Sam is excited to share his technical skills and mountain knowledge to offer an inspired and educational day in his company.
Sam's experience ranges from UK mountaineering to rock climbing in North America and alpine climbing ross Europe, along with guiding on the glaciers and summits in Iceland.
Sam is available across the Lake District and Peak District throughout the summer and throughout the Scottish Highlands during winter.
