I have over thirty years experience of fell walking and scrambling; mainly in the Lakes, but also in Scotland, Snowdonia and the Dolomites.
I run my own business - Lakeland Photo Walks (http://www.lakelandphotowalks.co.uk/), based in Whitehaven - running photography trips in and around the Lake District. I also do freelance mountain guiding and voluntary and paid work with local charities.
I am also a Duke of Edinburgh Award's Accredited Expedition Assessor and trained Supervisor and have some experience of NCS expeditions too.
I am very passionate about the positive effect of getting out into nature on well-being and mental health and am looking for more work in this area.
I have my own PL insurance.
I am DBS checked (Enhanced Disclosure for working with children as well as adults and am on the Update Service) and have undergone some training in mental health awareness, youth safeguarding, safeguarding adults, suicide prevention, developing emotional resilience, counselling, and mentoring; I am well read in psychology too and have a D1 licence and MiDAS training for minibus driving.
