Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor
I’ve climbed many times with Jim particularly on rock. He is a competent and enthusiastic climber and instructor who regularly work with his MCI. He works part time as an instructor but takes pride staying current and up to date with good practice, and I’m always happy to employing him for MCI work. He has winter climbing experience which spans decades and relevant experience from alpine trips. His has climbed many Grade V Scottish winter classics. He also gives up a considerable amount sits on the BMC Technical Committee and has volunteered as the AMI Communications Officer for the last 4 years. I have no hesitation in recommending Jim to go forward for the WMCI scheme.
